Job Title: Electrician (Maintenance – NHS Estates)
Location: West Sussex (NHS Sites)
Contract: 3–6 Months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (No shifts)

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join an NHS Estates team, carrying out maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across a range of healthcare sites.
This role offers stable working hours, a structured environment, and the opportunity to work across multiple NHS properties.

Key Responsibilities

Fault finding, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
Work on building services and plant including:

Lighting and power systems
Fire alarm systems
Emergency generators
HVAC and air conditioning systems
Pumps and water systems
Lifts (basic knowledge)
Portable and domestic appliances

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Undertake minor installation and upgrade works
Accurately record work using CAFM systems
Travel between NHS sites as required

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
Proven experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding
Experience working within commercial or building services environments
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to work independently and manage workload

Desirable

Experience within NHS or healthcare environments
Knowledge of fire alarms, generators, and HVAC systems
Experience with BMS or plant room environments
Legionella awareness
