Due to continued growth within our Whitburn branch, we are looking for an Approved Electrician for work on upcoming projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in their relevant trade, be able to work to tight timescales, use their own initiative and provide customers with the highest standard of quality work. The candidate will also have the relevant qualifications to be registered as a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.

The Candidate

The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include:

* Small jobbing works to full rewires.

* Working to strict timescales.

* Working as part of a team and on their own initiative.

* Completing NICEIC Minor Works and Electrical Installation Condition Report certification.

* Dealing with a wide range of people including Surveyors, Contracts Managers and customers.

The successful candidate must have the right to work in this country and must possess:

* City & Guilds 2382 - B.S. 7671 IEE Wiring regulations (18th Edition)

* Level 3 award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

* At least 5 years previous experience in a similar role

* Full, clean UK driving licence

The successful candidate will possess:

* Ability to perform electrical duties to a high standard

* Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings

* Be committed and self-motivated, with very good organisational skills

* Good working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations

* Experience of working within the insurance sector will be very advantageous.

This position includes company vehicle, uniform and full PPE along with attractive rate of pay, pension and paid holiday allowance.
