About us
Anderson Power Generation (APG) is a growing industrial and commercial electrical specialist based at Goldthorpe Industrial Estate, Rotherham. We deliver design, installation and maintenance across commercial and industrial projects, renewables (solar PV and wind), HV installations, power generation and generator servicing, with clients across the UK and Europe. We’re proud of our reputation for high standards, tidy workmanship and repeat business – and we’re expanding our team.
The role
You’ll be based from our Rotherham office and work on a varied mix of commercial and industrial installations – no two projects are the same. Most work is within daily travel of the office, but some projects will involve staying away from home, with accommodation and an away allowance provided.
* Installation, testing and commissioning on commercial and industrial projects
* Containment, wiring, terminating and fault-finding to BS 7671
* Opportunities to work on renewables, generators and HV systems – training given
* Working to programme alongside a supportive, experienced site team
* For Approved Electricians: running small jobs, supervising and inspection & testing
What we’re looking for
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (C&G 2365/5357 or equivalent) and AM2
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, BS 7671 (C&G 2382)
* ECS/JIB Gold Card (Installation or Approved Electrician)
* Full UK driving licence
* Flexibility to stay away from home when a project requires it
* A safe, tidy approach and pride in the finished job
Desirable (not essential): C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing, IPAF/PASMA, SSSTS/SMSTS, and experience with solar PV, generators or HV systems.
