I'm recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Electrical Technician to join their expanding manufacturing team in Poole.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in the design and build of high-quality, bespoke equipment.

Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, they're looking to strengthen their production team with an experienced Electrical Technician who enjoys hands-on assembly, wiring and testing. Working alongside skilled Mechanical Assembly, Test and Quality teams, you'll play a key role in building bespoke machinery to the highest standards within a clean, modern manufacturing environment.

The Role
As an Electrical Technician, you'll be responsible for:

Assembling and wiring electrical systems using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
Building and installing electrical control panels into bespoke machinery.
Carrying out electrical testing, inspections and safety checks throughout the build process.
Completing build documentation and test records accurately.
Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Working collaboratively with production teams to achieve right-first-time builds.What They're Looking For
To be successful as an Electrical Technician, you'll ideally have:

A completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
At least two years' experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or electro-mechanical build.
The ability to confidently interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
Experience carrying out electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
IPC certification would be advantageous.You'll also be someone who:

Has a strong understanding of safe working practices across a range of electrical voltage systems.
Works in a methodical and organised way.
Has a positive, flexible attitude and enjoys working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
