Category Three Supervisor – LV Installer
Freelance Opportunity | Competitive Daily Rate (DOE) | Midlands
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Category Three Supervisor – LV Installer to join a well-established contractor delivering a programme of transformer monitoring equipment installations across the Midlands.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced electrical professional seeking ongoing freelance work with a reputable contractor. Working as part of a two-person team, you will be responsible for installing monitoring equipment on transformers across multiple local sites, with the potential to complete up to five installations per day.
The Role
As a Category Three Supervisor – LV Installer, you will oversee and carry out the installation of monitoring equipment on transformers, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
The role will involve travelling between local sites throughout the working day and working closely with your installation partner to deliver the programme of works. You will be responsible for carrying out LV isolations and reinstatement where required, following Electrical Safety Rules, RAMS and site-specific procedures.
You will also ensure all necessary permits, installation records and site documentation are completed accurately. A strong focus on safety and quality is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship across multiple installations.
Experience & Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with current Category Three authorisation and proven experience within LV electrical installation or supervision. You should have a strong understanding of LV electrical systems, safe isolation procedures and electrical safety requirements.
Previous experience working with transformers, monitoring equipment or similar LV installations would be advantageous. You should be comfortable working as part of a two-person team, travelling between multiple local sites and managing a productive workload throughout the day.
Relevant electrical qualifications and a full UK driving licence are also required.
