Location: East Midlands, Leicestershire, Loughborough

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time Monday - Friday

Industry: Construction - new build housing

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

A growing and quality focused Housing Developer seeks an Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installations across new home sites throughout the Midlands. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-standard housing projects in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

Supervise and manage all electrical works on new build housing sites to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor the work of electricians and subcontractors on site to maintain quality and efficiency.
Ensure all electrical installations meet the requirements of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and inspection standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and testing to identify and resolve any faults or non-compliance issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, and testing results in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with site managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and adherence to programme schedules.
Promote safe working practises and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation on site.
Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and trainees as required.
Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation related to electrical works.

Required Qualifications

18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification.
Electrical Inspection and Testing Qualification.

Experience

Proven experience as an electrician within new build housing projects.
Demonstrable experience supervising electrical teams on construction sites.
Experience working within the construction industry, particularly new housing developments.

Knowledge and Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of current electrical regulations, standards, and best practise including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Strong understanding of electrical installation methods for new build housing.
Excellent organisational and time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with site teams and project stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to health and safety and safe working practises.

Working Conditions

Work primarily on active construction sites across the Midlands region.
Role requires travel between multiple sites, for which a company car or car allowance is provided.
Work is full-time and temporary, with hours aligned to site working patterns.
Personal protective equipment is provided and must be worn at all times on site.
Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and manual handling
