Electrical Compliance Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Compliance Supervisor to oversee quality, safety and regulatory compliance across a high-volume renewable energy installation programme.
This hybrid role combines office-based compliance reviews with site visits. You will supervise Compliance Inspectors and administrative staff, review electrical certification and installation evidence, resolve technical issues and help maintain high standards across solar PV, battery storage, air-source heat pumps and electric storage heating systems.
Key responsibilities
* Review remote and on-site inspections, job cards, photographic evidence and electrical certificates.
* Ensure installations comply with BS 7671, NICEIC, MCS and relevant safety and environmental standards.
* Diagnose installation, commissioning and performance issues involving inverters and battery storage systems.
* Provide technical guidance to installers, colleagues and clients.
* Liaise with manufacturers regarding faults, technical support and warranty matters.
* Deliver toolbox talks, product updates and best-practice training.
* Identify recurring quality issues and support continuous improvement.
* Assist with internal and external compliance audits.
* Oversee administrative processes, monitoring platforms and job-management systems.
* Promote safe working practices across employees and subcontractors.
* Work towards acting as a NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor where required.
About you
You will have:
* A strong electrical background with practical installation and fault-finding experience.
* Knowledge of inverter, solar PV and battery storage systems.
* A good working knowledge of BS 7671 and MCS requirements.
* Strong supervisory, communication and coaching skills.
* Experience reviewing EICs, Minor Works Certificates and EICRs.
* The ability to work effectively across office and site-based environments.
* NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor experience, or the ability and willingness to work towards this, is highly desirable.
