Our client is a leading provider of audio visual and WiFi installation services, currently seeking a Working Site Supervisor for a prestigious project in Birmingham. This opportunity is perfect for a candidate who embodies leadership, technical proficiency, and a commitment to quality.
Role Summary:
As a Working Site Supervisor, you will be instrumental in the successful execution of the project, reporting directly to and collaborating closely with the Project Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing all audio visual and WiFi installations, managing subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards, monitoring project timelines, and addressing any technical challenges that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Supervise and actively participate in all audio visual and Wi-Fi installation activities on-site.
* Manage subcontractors effectively, ensuring their work meets project standards.
* Conduct regular assessments of work quality by both in-house labour and subcontractors.
* Implement and manage Quality Assurance (QA) processes, including developing and maintaining QA documentation.
* Monitor project progress and timelines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently to minimize project delays.
* Promote a culture of safety and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements:
* SSSTS (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) certification.
* IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and maintenance.
* Hands-on experience with audio visual and WiFi system installations.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving license.
Desirable:
* Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent).
* Experience with project management software and tools.
* Knowledge of the latest industry trends and technologies in audio visual and WiFi installations.
