Electrical Supervisor Needed in Bedford – Min 12 Months – Up to £400 per day
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor on a major prison project in Bedfordshire.
This is a long-term opportunity, with a minimum contract duration of 12 months, offering an attractive £400 per day via Umbrella PAYE.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising electrical works on site, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, programmes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate electrical installation works on site.
Manage electrical subcontractors and site teams, ensuring works are completed to programme.
Ensure all electrical works comply with drawings, specifications, RAMS, and relevant regulations.
Monitor quality and progress of electrical installations.
Coordinate with the wider construction team, site management, and other trades.
Carry out regular inspections and ensure any defects or issues are identified and rectified.
Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained at all times.
Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and any technical issues.
Assist with planning, sequencing, and coordination of electrical works.
Ensure all works are completed in line with the requirements of the Tier 1 contractor and client.
Requirements
Strong experience working on large-scale construction projects.
Experience working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor is highly desirable.
Relevant electrical qualifications and/or supervisory qualifications.
Strong understanding of electrical installations, construction processes, and site health & safety.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to lead subcontractors and electrical teams effectively.
Enhanced DBS clearance is mandatory due to the live prison environment. Candidates must be willing and able to successfully complete the required enhanced DBS check before commencing work.
SMSTS or SSSTS certification
CSCS Gold or Black Card
