Description:

NRL are currently recruiting an Electrical Supervisor for work on a new build commercial project in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

Must have:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivn alent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
SMSTS or SSSTS
ECS/CSCS Card
First Aid (desirable)
Duration: Ongoing (project completion estimated April 2028)

Start: 3rd August 2026

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all electrical subcontractors on site, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with specifications and regulations.
Oversee installation of electrical systems including containment, cabling, lighting, LV distribution, fire alarms, security and specialist prison systems.
Carry out quality inspections, ensuring works meet required standards and are recorded appropriately.
Attend and contribute to daily site briefings and coordination meetings.
Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and site briefings.
Ensure all operatives:
Use appropriate PPE
Follow safe systems of work
Review drawings, specifications, and coordinated BIM models to ensure accurate installation.
Identify and resolve technical issues and installation conflicts in collaboration with design and site teams.
Monitor subcontractor productivity and performance, driving improvements where required.
Monitor project progress and report delays, risks, or issues to the Senior M&E Lead.
Assist with booking deliveries and coordinating material logistics where required.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including BS 7671 and CDM requirements.
Support testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems are fully operational.
Assist in compiling handover documentation, O&M manuals, and project close-out information.
Maintain accurate site records including inspections, progress reports, and QA documentation.
Coordinate with mechanical and other trades to ensure seamless integration of services.Health, Safety & Quality

Champion a strong safety culture aligned with standards.
Enforce RAMS and safe working practices.
Deliver a right-first-time quality approach.
Ensure all work complies with HSE and project-specific regulations.Skills & Experience

Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on large-scale projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors.
Familiar with digital QA systems (e.g., Dalux or similar).
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm

Pay: CIS or Umbrella

Rates: Pay rates are negotiable
