Electrical Supervisor

6 Month Contract

Manchester & North West

£25-28 per hour

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to carry out works predominantly in the commercial sector across education buildings / commercial buildings / offices / healthcare / retail.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Manage & monitor all welfare, health, safety, quality and environmental (HSQE) processes and procedures on site and liaise with the Directors regarding training staff, safe working practices, ensure sites are reporting HSQE matters appropriately,.

2. Create, review, comment, reject or approve all HSQE documentation as required by processes and procedures, for all workstreams under the person’s control.

3. Carry out site visits/surveys for quality purposes, collate information and photographs, and prepare progress reports (without with support), assist the projects team on larger projects. Where required, carry out testing and inspection duties.

4. Work alongside the commercial team regarding procurement, cost, contracts and insurance issues.

5. Liaise with Clients, residents and the public as required and attend site meetings as a representative of the company.

6. Develop client relationships, both new and existing, and manage those relationships in a professional and positive manner.

7. Be responsible for recruiting and supervising staff, direct labour, sub-contractors, and material suppliers as required.

8. Review the performance of subcontractors and materials suppliers and report on performance in meetings where required.

9. Ensure that new employees or agency staff have company and site inductions, and ensure they are able access, understand and execute the companies processes and procedures.

10. Ensure operatives are supervised, motivated and given assistance/guidance. Conduct appraisals and develop training needs.

11. Supervise / manage all persons under your responsibility, initiate and progress any disciplinary actions as and when required.

12. Have Technical Knowledge and experience to Supervisor standards.

13. Produce reports and procedures timeously as required.

14. Ensure all sites are performing safely, to the highest quality, on programme and to set financial targets.

15. Attend company internal meetings and report on project performance.

16. Ensure site presentation is kept to the highest standard.

17. Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment are maintained to an acceptable standard.

18. Always attend work in a professional formal dress code in order to represent the company image appropriately.

19. If necessary, work 'on the tools' to assist achieving targets and key milestones.

20. Any other reasonable duties considered necessary to contribute to the effectiveness of the company and keep management regularly informed.

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

Electrical Supervisor's: 5 years (required)
Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 points (required)
UK formal qualification as an electrician (as a minimum) (required)
documentation / certification for electrician status (required)
