Tank Recruitment have been engaged to recruit an Electrical Site Manager for one of our clients on a project in Exeter.
The role
We're looking for an experienced electrical site manager to oversee all electrical works on a 132 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project based in Exeter. This is a purely electrical scope - no civils involvement. You'll be responsible for managing on-site electrical operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality standards and programme delivery, and maintaining a safe working environment throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential requirements
Electrical qualification
City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regs) or equivalent - HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering an advantage
SMSTS / CSCS black card
Proven electrical site management experience
BESS, renewables, or HV/LV infrastructure experience strongly preferred
Key responsibilities
Manage day-to-day electrical operations on site
Coordinate and supervise electrical subcontractors
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
Produce and review method statements and risk assessments
Attend progress meetings and report to project management team
Maintain site records, inspection and test documentation
Liaise with client, DNO, and other stakeholders as required
