The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing M&E contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the South East.

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee the electrical installation on a £3.5 million CAT B commercial fit-out at Thames Valley Park, Reading.

The project comprises a CAT B fit-out across three floors delivered over three phases, with further opportunities expected across specialist laboratory refurbishments and office-to-lab conversion projects in Oxfordshire.

The Role

As Electrical Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the electrical works on site, working closely with the Project Manager and wider MEP team.

You will manage electrical subcontractors and site labour, ensuring installations are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

The role will suit an experienced Electrical Site Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of a fast-paced commercial fit-out project and coordinating closely with mechanical, public health and other trades.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day electrical installation on a £3.5m CAT B commercial fit-out
Manage Electrical Supervisors, subcontractors and site labour
Oversee power, lighting, containment and associated electrical installations
Coordinate daily and weekly site activities
Monitor progress against programme and key project milestones
Ensure installations are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications
Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, public health and other trades
Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are followed
Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across the electrical works
Monitor installation quality and manage QA documentation
Attend site coordination and progress meetings
Coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics
Identify and report technical or programme issues
Oversee testing, commissioning and snagging
Drive the electrical works through to successful handover

Requirements

Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager within Building Services / M&E
Strong commercial fit-out or refurbishment experience
CAT A / CAT B office experience advantageous
Strong technical understanding of electrical building services
Experience managing electrical subcontractors and site teams
Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and specifications
Strong understanding of Health & Safety and site procedures
Experience with QA, testing, commissioning and handover
SMSTS
ECS / CSCS
Full UK Driving Licence
