Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a role where the quality of the building, engineering environment and career opportunity match your experience?

We are recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join the engineering team at one of the City of London's most prestigious commercial buildings.

This is a high-profile site where you'll be working alongside a strong engineering team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of critical building services and ensuring the property continues to operate safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

You'll be part of a dedicated shift team responsible for keeping the building running smoothly. Your role will include a combination of planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and general engineering duties across the site.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Completing scheduled PPM and responding to reactive maintenance issues.

* Carrying out electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.

* Monitoring and maintaining electrical and mechanical building services.

* Responding to plant and equipment failures and attending breakdowns.

* Ensuring all maintenance activities meet required safety and compliance standards.

* Using the site's CAFM system to record completed works and maintenance activity.

* Working with specialist contractors when required.

* Supporting the wider engineering team with day-to-day site operations.

* Identifying potential issues before they become costly or disruptive failures.

What we're looking for

We're interested in speaking with engineers who have a strong electrical background and are comfortable working within a busy commercial environment.

You'll ideally have:

* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualification.

* Previous experience within commercial building services, facilities management or a similar environment.

* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* Good knowledge of commercial electrical and building services systems.

* The ability to work independently while being part of a close-knit shift team.

* A professional, proactive approach with good communication skills.

* A strong commitment to health, safety and compliance.

The package

* Up to £56,000 basic salary

* Continental day shift – 7am to 7pm

* Prestigious City of London location

* Stable, long-term position

* Ongoing technical training and development

* Opportunity to build experience within a flagship commercial property

* Supportive engineering and site management team

Why this role?

This isn't simply another maintenance position. You'll be working on a flagship commercial building in the heart of the City, within an established engineering operation and alongside experienced building services professionals.

If you're an Electrical Engineer who takes pride in your work and wants to secure a long-term position on a prestigious site, apply today for a confidential conversation about the role
