Description:
Rhino recruitment is recruiting a Qualifying Supervisor Electrician in the Newport, Cwmbran, Cardiff and surrounding areas.
Purpose of the Job:
The main responsibility would be to verify and sign off electrical certification. We carry out electrical upgrades on planned, voids and reactive properties in the social housing sector.
The right candidates will be able to work well both unsupervised and as part of a team will have a valid CSCS card (or willing to work towards) and a full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in domestic properties.
EICR's, inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to identify repairs.
Diagnose electrical problems and implement appropriate solutions.
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
Carry out, electrical upgrades or installations.
Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
Mentoring apprentice electricians where required.
Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken e.g., completing daily worksheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job.
Ensuring that Health and Safety procedures and safe working practices are adhered to at all times, in accordance with all technical standards.
To build positive working relationships with clients and ensure that all work is completed to a satisfactory level.
Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and results are accurately recorded.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an electrician and supervisor experience.
City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations / 18th edition regulations / NVQ 3.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's licence.
JIB / ECS Approved
Knowledge of applicable building regs and standards
