Description:

We are looking for an Electrical Project Manager to work on a permanent basis in Runcorn.

Salary is c£50-60,000 per annum plus car/car allowance, 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension, medical insurance etc.

The Electrical Project Manager to join a well-established and growing engineering business delivering complex energy and power generation projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electrical engineering background who enjoys managing projects from initial handover through to successful completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Electrical Project Manager duties:

Reporting to the Projects Manager, you will take ownership of multiple electrical engineering projects, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors and customers throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing electrical projects from contract award through to commissioning and final handover.

* Planning project programmes, resources and budgets to ensure successful delivery.

* Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout each project.

* Coordinating internal engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site teams.

* Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to specification.

* Monitoring project costs, variations and commercial performance.

* Identifying and mitigating project risks.

* Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and quality standards.

* Producing regular project reports and updates for senior management.

* Supporting commissioning activities and ensuring all project documentation is completed.

Electrical Project Manager Person Specification:

Our client is keen to speak with experienced Project Managers who have delivered electrical engineering projects within sectors such as:

* Energy

* Power Generation

* CHP

* Renewable Energy

* Utilities

* Industrial Engineering

* Process Plant

* Heavy Engineering

You will ideally have:

* Proven experience managing electrical engineering projects from start to finish.

* A strong electrical engineering background.

* Experience working within the energy, power generation or related engineering sectors.

* Excellent customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.

* Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets.

* Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety requirements.

* Excellent planning and organisational skills.

* The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* A full UK driving licence.

Qualifications such as HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline), together with project management qualifications (PRINCE2, APM or similar), would be advantageous but are not essential.
