Electrical Project Engineer -  My client, a busy, well established M&E Contractor are looking to continue the expansion of their existing team with the addition of an Electrical Project Engineer.

As a business, they pride themselves on excellent company culture and the ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with their clients. With a multi-million pound turnover and a healthy order book, they are looking for the right person to join them to assist in their continued success and growth.

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of larger projects and will also be responsible for leading smaller projects. Day to day you will be assisting the Project Manager in delivering the project scope electrically. You will provide progress reports to the relevant stakeholders, reviewing and understanding the scope of works for electrical installation. You will be a competent and confident communicator who will be dealing with & liaising directly with the clients project delivery team visiting site during design and delivery stage and liaising with the client Site Manager and other sub-contractors. You will also be:

* Interpreting and understanding design documents including schedules, control philosophies and drawings

* Reviewing and understanding client subcontract documents to understand the scope of the works required. Starting to understand NEC 3.

* Able to contribute to a Project Risk Register, addressing project risks adequately and proactively

* Assisting the Project Manager with the costs of a project, including variations / changes to scope in accordance with the project specific contract. Including ensuring that the opening profit margin is exceeded

* Raising Bid Tabs and progressing orders through to delivery

* Ensuring the H&S requirements during the delivery of a project are met including the development of site specific RAMS

Communication skills both oral and written are essential along with being confident in influencing, mentoring and motivating your team.

Our ideal candidate:

* Possess CSCS Managers card.

* SMSTS qualification.

* Relevant industry or vocational qualification preferred, e.g, ONC Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

* Technical Electrical knowledge

* Beginning to gain competency in NEC through completion of NEC Introduction Course

* Previous experience in a similar role
