£40,000 – 45,000 + Paid Overtime + Agile Working + Overseas Travel Allowances

The Company

We are working with a company who deliver turnkey engineering projects across a number of process engineering sectors.   The business are a world leader in their field delivering in excess of £100 million of projects annually and have experienced strong growth in the past five years as their brand and reputation continues to build.

The business delivers projects from initial design stage all the way through to commissioning of project at customer site meaning you will get to work on a variety of different size projects across the several engineering sectors they serve.  As part of their growth they are currently looking to recruit for a Electrical Project Engineer with immediate effect.

The Role 

The Electrical Project Engineering team in the business are responsible for the electrical aspects on projects from initial design through to site commissioning.   As an Electrical Project Engineer you will be responsible for:

Creating the layout for the electrical design required for the project.
Sizing all the electrical system required including cable sizing and motor sizing.
Creating single line diagrams, create cable schedules and layout for the electrical installation.
Creating specifications for the electrical installation and controls panels and instrumentation required for projects and put these specifications out for tender with suppliers.
Manage the subcontract manufacturing and delivery of control panels for the project.
Ensure all electrical items and instrumentation are ordered and on track to be delivered to site on schedule
Being present for to oversee electrical installation at site.
Ensuring all electrical aspects of the project are functional when the project is commissioned.

The Person

To be successful in your application for this Electrical Project Engineer role you will need:

An electrical engineering qualification of HNC, HND or Degree.
To be interested in running electrical engineering projects from cradle to grave
To be happy to travel to site to oversee the installation and commissioning phases of projects
To enjoy passing on your knowledge and wisdom to others
