Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering complex building modifications and equipment installation projects within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on role offering responsibility for electrical design, project delivery, commissioning, and stakeholder management across the full project lifecycle. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, OEMs and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide on-site electrical engineering support for capital projects.

* Produce and review electrical specifications and distribution designs.

* Coordinate project activities with customers, contractors and suppliers.

* Validate electrical installations against specifications and engineering deliverables, identifying and implementing corrective actions where required.

* Interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings and technical layouts.

* Develop and review User Requirement Specifications (URS) for electrical systems.

* Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and record outcomes.

* Oversee equipment installation, electrical commissioning and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs).

* Monitor project progress, quality, technical compliance and health & safety performance.

* Manage technical and HSE risks throughout project delivery.

* Build strong relationships with internal teams, customers and equipment manufacturers.

* Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders.

About You

We're looking for a proactive Electrical Project Engineer who enjoys working on-site, solving technical challenges and managing projects from concept through to commissioning.

You will ideally have:

* Experience delivering electrical engineering projects within manufacturing, industrial or process environments.

* Knowledge of electrical design, distribution systems and equipment installation.

* Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.

* An understanding of commissioning activities including FATs and SATs.

* Knowledge of CDM regulations and Health & Safety requirements.

* The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

* A practical, organised approach with strong problem-solving ability.

* A willingness to travel to customer sites and supplier locations when required.
