Description:

We are looking to recruit an ELECTRICAL PROJECTS ENGINEER (INVERNESS BASED) to join our team on an attractive salary.

This role will supervise projects to ensure that the contract terms address client requirements and that all technical activities are in line with the agreed terms.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Supervising repair, maintenance, and service activities on electrical and instrumentation equipment/installations

* Inspection & Testing Certification

* Conducting annual appraisals

* Liaising with customers and evaluating their needs

* Monitoring changes or developments within the industry

* Negotiating, developing, implementing, and reviewing client contracts

* Ensure best practices are applied on any given project - from the tendering and enquiry stage, organisation of labour and materials through to project completion and final invoicing.

* Establishing criteria for successful task completion within the project

* Consult with technical staff as required.

* Manage sub-contract labour and suppliers.

* Handle complaints from clients and deal with any issues that may compromise the project.

* Financially manage projects, ensuring they remain within budget.

* Work in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, industry codes of practice and customer site specific rules.

The ideal applicant will have:

* A background in both E&I engineering design and construction.

* Previous experience in a supervisory role

* Knowledge of engineering science and technology, along with the principles, techniques and procedures used to design and produce various products or services.

* Knowledge of relevant British and European Standards, Codes of Practice and Health & Safety legislation

* The ability to allocate resources to ensure the smooth running of projects.

* Experience in the compilation of documentation for submission to legal professionals

* An understanding of the principles of strategic planning

* The ability to work as part of a team.

* Basic numeracy and literacy skills

* Strong attention to detail

* The ability to multi-task, and excellent time management skills

* Excellent customer service skills

* Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written
