Electrical Pre-Construction Estimator
Location: Petham, Canterbury, Kent
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours:
* Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
* Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: Competitive, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
We're looking for an experienced Electrical Pre-Construction Estimator to join our growing team based in Petham, Canterbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong Building Services background to play a key role in securing a diverse range of electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Review tender documentation and raise RFIs where required.
* Prepare enquiries for suppliers and specialist subcontractors.
* Produce accurate estimates using Ensign estimating software.
* Quantify labour, plant and materials.
* Analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value and compliance.
* Attend and contribute to pre-, mid- and post-tender meetings.
* Produce tender review packs for senior management.
* Follow up submitted tenders and support the successful conversion of bids.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
* Attend project handover meetings with the contracts team.
* Support the continuous improvement of estimating processes.
Requirements
* Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the Building Services industry.
* Strong understanding of electrical building services systems.
* Experience producing competitive and accurate tenders.
* Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Experience using estimating software (Ensign preferred, but not essential).
* Full UK driving licence and own transport.
* Must live within approximately 45 miles of Petham, Canterbury.
