Electrical / Mechanical Engineer

KAP Technical are working with a well-established manufacturing business who are looking to strengthen its production department by recruiting experienced Electrical / Mechanical Technicians.

This opportunity would suit candidates with hands-on electrical and mechanical experience gained within manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, engineering, or similar practical environments. Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential.

The Position:

Working within a busy production facility, you will be involved in the assembly and manufacture of specialist electrical and mechanical equipment. This is a workshop-based role requiring a practical, hands-on approach and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Key Duties:

* Building and assembling electrical and mechanical equipment to specification

* Following engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and production documentation

* Working to production deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards

* Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in accordance with company procedures

* Supporting the wider production team to achieve operational targets

Candidate Requirements:

* Previous practical experience within electrical, mechanical, assembly, maintenance, or engineering environments

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings or wiring diagrams would be advantageous

* Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset

* Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team

* Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

Salary & Benefits:

* 38-hour working week

* Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00 midnight

* 30-minute unpaid break

* Pay rate £17.36 per hour depending on experience

* Overtime paid at 1.33x for the first 4 hours and 1.5x thereafter

* 36 days annual leave
