Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Trust: Stockport NHS Foundation Trust

Location: Stepping Hill Hospital, Poplar Grove, Stockport, SK2 7JE

Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday 8am-4pm (37.5 hours a week)

Pay: £16 an hour

About the Trust:

Stepping Hill Hospital is located on Poplar Grove Stockport, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is on-site parking (fees will apply). It has an on-site restaurant where staff are eligible for a discount. There is also a café where drinks and light snacks are available. There are also on-site shops and free Wi-Fi.

Job Role:

The primary responsibility will involve the maintenance of electrical lighting, power installations, motors, HVAC, control circuits including timers/contactors/overloads/interlocks etc within buildings, electrical plant and equipment. Electrical systems and associated equipment on both LV and SELV operating voltages
To act as Team Leader for in house staff and contractors and to offer assistance and technical support/instruction where required or instructed by Estates Managers
Provide recall to ensure that emergency repairs occurring out of normal hours are attended to.
Liaise and work with other trades/disciplines including external agencies (contractors).
Interpret engineering drawings and instruct and advise others.
Must be able to work efficiently with minimum supervision.

You'll have the following skills/experience:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical
18th Edition in Electrical
Working as part of a team.
Experience of working at heights
Experience of working in confined spaces
