Questech Recruitment are recruiting for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team at one of our well known clients based out of Hull. This is an excellent opportunity with progression available for the right candidate. There is regular overtime available weekly both midweek and on weekends.

Purpose of Statement:

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader. The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will:

- Provide engineering maintenance support across the whole site as appropriate to qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies.

- Reporting and monitoring all maintenance actions in a proactive manner to maintain the efficiency of all the plant and equipment associated with the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and follow safe working practices (SSW & RA).

* Action near miss reports and incident remedies as assigned, providing feedback of actions.

* Support safety-related improvements/initiatives.

* Ensure documentation is completed meeting site procedures and legislation.

* Support Good Manufacturing Practices, ensuring maintenance works are recorded.

* Proactively develop and complete inspection/correction schedules to support PM systems (Daily Checks).

* Maintain plant and associated equipment on site, covering all types of breakdowns on any shift pattern.

* Log all breakdowns and work activity during the working shift utilising the CMMS system.

* Proactively assess work order backlog, prioritising and therefore assisting in planning PM downs to ensure specific asset issues are addressed.

* Proactively encourage cross-shift communication regarding findings on asset inspections prioritising and action as necessary.

* Monitor equipment condition, identifying areas requiring additional PM work and communicate accordingly.

* Provide support to all machine planned activity

* Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery.

* Ensure stock & scheduled call spreadsheets are kept up to date.

* Maintain housekeeping to the appropriate standards.

* To fully participate in training and personnel development as required.

The Pay:

£39,877 per annum

Overtime rates as follows:

- Time and a half on Monday 0600 – Saturday 1200

- Double time on Saturday 1200 – Monday 0600

The Shifts:

Monday to Friday on three shift working pattern.

0600–1400 / 1400–2200 / 2200–0600

Flexibility will be required in terms of roles and shift patterns to meet business requirements.

Compliance:

- Adhere to the company’s compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures.

- Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures.

- Participate in training as required.

Candidate Requirements:

* Educated to minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline(s).

* Strong ability to fault find and provide rectification to both mechanical and electrical systems including PLC’s such as Siemens/Allen Bradley.

* Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies and ability to analyse data to achieve a desired outcome.

* Proven experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.

* Experience using a CMMS system e.g. Pirana would be advantageous.

* Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

* PC literate and competent in the use of MS Office suite.

* The maintenance team is relatively small and requires flexibility, therefore, you may be expected to do any work that is required, which is commensurate with your capabilities and experience, and you may be required to undertake other tasks, which are reasonably asked of you.

* Notice of changes in working patterns will be given.
