Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom (B15 2GW)

Hours of work: 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday (3 Months)

Pay Rate: £19 Per Hour (Weekly pay)

Job Description:

We are seeking 2 Engineers in Birmingham.This position has an important role within the workflow process; you will be actively involved in developing detailed knowledge, and the maintenance of the core plant and equipment in the Acute PFI Hospital Building. You will have previous experience in a maintenance position and a meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

To undertake improvement work, maintenance and repairs of plant, services and physical assets including testing and routine fault finding.

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.

Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to his/her own trade, without supervision.
Set up New Work appropriate to his/her own trade using relevant tools, equipment and machinery, without supervision, as appropriate to his/her grade.
After appropriate training, work off tower scaffolding, MEWP's, ladders, and step ladders and within confined spaces.
To carry out unsupervised maintenance and repairs and report any defects or unusual circumstances to the Supervisor.
Requirement to learn new techniques with training as necessary.
Scope of work will include entering departments containing service users undergoing various treatments/procedures after reporting to departmental staff. Occasional exposure to distressing or emotional circumstances could be encountered.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

Electrical Installation - Approved apprenticeship with either:
City & Guild 236 Part 1, 2 & 3 Parts A, B, C or
City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1, 2, 3 or
City & Guilds 2330 Level 2, Level 3, (Level 4 - desirable) or
City & Guilds 256 Diploma
18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations (BS (Apply online only) Amendment)
HTM- Competent Person for LV
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
Good communication skills.
Reliable and trustworthy.
