Electrical Maintenance Engineer
King's Cross, London
£50,000 – £55,000
An excellent opportunity has become available for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site in King's Cross. Working for a well-established building services provider, you'll be part of a professional team maintaining a high-profile building while benefiting from ongoing training and genuine career progression.
This is a static, Monday to Friday role, offering an excellent work-life balance with no call-out requirement.
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and building services systems. You will diagnose faults, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, liaise with subcontractors, and provide a high level of service to the client.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
Maintain and service single and three-phase power, emergency lighting, fire alarms, BMS, AHUs, FCUs, generators, and VRV/VRF systems
Complete basic water hygiene duties, including temperature monitoring, tap tests, dosing, and cooling tower checks
Keep maintenance records, logbooks, and compliance documentation up to date
Supervise specialist contractors and support planned maintenance activities
Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client and site team Requirements:
Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installations (City & Guilds, NVQ, EAL or equivalent)
At least 3 years' experience within commercial building maintenance
Strong fault-finding ability and a proactive approach to maintenance
Good communication and client-facing skills
Apprenticeship background desirable but not essential Salary & Benefits:
£50,000 – £55,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
No call-out rota
