? Salary: £43,306.64 £2,500 Shift Allowance
? Permanent Full-Time
? 4 on, 4 off shift pattern – rotating days & nights

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Cardiff.

This role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, alternating between days and nights — for example, 4 day shifts, 4 days off, followed by 4 night shifts.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified electrician with strong facilities maintenance experience, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently across a busy site.

The RoleAs an Electrical Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and completing all relevant paperwork and reports.

Carrying out reactive and emergency maintenance tasks.

Using handheld technology to complete jobs within allocated timescales.

Maintenance, testing and fault finding across a variety of equipment.

Working with equipment including ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting, where applicable.

Ensuring all tasks are completed within contractual timescales.

Supervising visiting subcontractors, including Health & Safety, permits, small works and escort duties.

Maintaining excellent relationships with onsite clients.

Completing all work-related documentation accurately and on time.

Supporting other team members and assisting across the wider property portfolio when required.

Working safely and following all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Attending training and appraisal activities as required.

About YouThe successful candidate will have:

18th Edition – essential.

NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification / completed electrical apprenticeship – essential.

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.

Minimum 3 years' Facilities Maintenance experience.

Experience in maintenance, testing and fault finding.

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.

Excellent rapport-building skills with clients, colleagues and third parties.

Ability to complete paperwork accurately and within required timescales.

A flexible attitude to assisting at other properties within the portfolio.

Cleanroom experience is desirable, but not essential.
