Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Location: Westgate Shopping Centre, Oxford | Job type: Permanent, Full-time | Sector: Facilities Management / Building Services / Electrical Maintenance

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our on-site facilities management team at Westgate Shopping Centre in Oxford.

This is a hands-on engineering role covering planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault finding, electrical repairs, small works and general building services support across a busy retail environment.

About the role

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will help keep the site safe, compliant and running smoothly by maintaining electrical, mechanical and building services systems. You will complete PPMs, respond to breakdowns, carry out fault finding and support minor installation works.

This role would suit an electrically qualified Maintenance Engineer, Building Services Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Facilities Engineer or Multi Skilled Engineer with experience in commercial buildings, retail, facilities management or similar environments.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose faults, complete repairs and respond to site engineering emergencies.
Maintain and repair electrical systems including lighting, power, emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces and BMS-related equipment where required.
Support minor installation works, small projects and site improvement activity.
Work with mechanical and other trade engineers to resolve issues quickly and safely.
Update maintenance records, site logs, PPM paperwork and equipment reports accurately.
Liaise with subcontractors, obtain quotations where needed and check works are completed to the required standard.
Deliver excellent customer service and represent CBRE professionally with the client, visitors and site teams.
Follow health, safety, compliance and site procedures at all times.

What we're looking for

Essential skills and qualifications

18th Edition Wiring Regulations preferred. 17th Edition may be considered with willingness to update.
Experience in electrical maintenance, building services maintenance, facilities management or commercial maintenance.
Strong fault-finding skills across electrical systems, plant, equipment and controls.
Good working knowledge of PPM, reactive maintenance and statutory compliance.
Good written and spoken English, with basic IT skills for updating maintenance systems and records.
Full UK driving licence preferred.Useful experience

Knowledge of emergency lighting, fire alarms, power distribution, BMS, mechanical plant, HVAC or general building services.About you
