Are you an electrically qualified Maintenance Engineer with strong fault-finding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment?

ISQ Recruitment is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for an established food manufacturer in Bedfordshire. The role offers a consistent Monday-to-Friday early shift, varied hands-on electrical maintenance work and the opportunity to get involved in equipment improvements, installations and site engineering projects.

About the role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide electrical maintenance support across plant, machinery and production equipment.
The role combines planned preventative maintenance with reactive breakdown work. You will diagnose electrical faults, carry out repairs, support machinery set-ups and site start-up, and help keep equipment operating safely and reliably.
You will also have the opportunity to support machinery installations, improvement work and wider engineering projects across the site.
 
Key duties

Carry out electrical fault finding, maintenance and repair on production machinery and plant
Complete planned preventative maintenance in line with the site schedule
Respond to breakdowns and electrical issues affecting production
Work with single and three-phase motors, inverters and associated electrical systems
Read and interpret electrical drawings
Support machinery adjustments, set-ups and production start-up
Record completed maintenance and identify any follow-up work required
Assist with machinery installations and site engineering improvements What we are looking for
You will need:

Level 3 NVQ, BTEC, electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Previous electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience working with single and three-phase motors and inverters
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Practical experience maintaining industrial machinery and equipment Previous food manufacturing experience would be beneficial, but experience from other manufacturing or industrial environments will also be considered.
