Location: Colchester, Chelmsford, Clacton on Sea, Heybridge, Tiptree, Whitham Highfields Road. (You will be required to travel between these locations)
Contract Type: Permanent
Job Purpose: Due to our client's company growth, they are seeking an engineer for planned and reactive maintenance across various site locations. Responsibilities include maintenance and repairs to electrical, mechanical, and building assets in superstores.
Key Accountabilities:
" Represent the company professionally and maintain good relationships with colleagues.
" Complete necessary PPMs, ensure legal compliance, and supervise Maintenance Assistant.
" Respond to service call requests promptly, prioritize maintenance work, and order spare parts.
" Communicate with Store Management teams and assist in managing subcontractors.
" Carry out surveys, complete reports, and perform alterations and installations within technical competence.
" Manage recruitment of Maintenance Assistants, liaise with project teams, and ensure tool and equipment availability.
" Attend training courses, maintain accurate administration, and comply with Health and Safety Policy.
" Participate in an Out of Hours standby rota and deliver technical coaching solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
" C&G 2382 (18th edition)
" C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2
" C&G 2330 - this is the current Qual that replaced 2360
" C&G 2356 - NVQ Level 3
" C&G Electrical Part A & B - Approved Electrician
" C&G Electrical Part C - Technician
" BTEC Diploma in Electrical Installation
" BTEC Diploma in Electrical Maintenance
" NB Both 2330 and 2356 is what you would expect from someone that has completed a full electrical apprenticeship recently
" Relevant qualifications in electrical installation and maintenance.
" 3-phase electrics knowledge and ability to manage and support team members.
" Good communication skills, customer-focused, self-motivated, and ability to work at heights.
" Valid driving licence and willingness to work flexible hours.
