This leading technical education provider has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality apprenticeship training across engineering and technical disciplines. With state-of-the-art facilities and strong partnerships with major employers throughout West Cumbria, they are continuing to grow their apprenticeship provision and are now looking to recruit an Electrical Engineering Assessor to join their team.

In this role, you will support and assess apprentices working towards their Electrical Engineering qualifications. You will conduct regular workplace assessments, coaching sessions, and progress reviews, working closely with both learners and employers to ensure apprentices successfully complete their programmes. You will also contribute to the development of training materials and support the continuous improvement of apprenticeship delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Electrical Engineering and hold a Level 3 qualification. Previous assessing or teaching experience is not required, as full training and support will be provided. What is important is a passion for developing people and sharing your industry knowledge.

The Role:

* Assess and support apprentices working towards Electrical Engineering qualifications
* Conduct workplace assessments, coaching sessions, and progress reviews
* Work closely with employers to support learner development and achievement
* Assist with the development of apprenticeship training materials
* Full assessor and teaching qualifications provided where required
* Monday to Friday, 37.5-hour week based at Sellafield

The Person:

* Electrical Engineering background
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
* Industry experience within Electrical Engineering
* Level 2 Maths and English
* Happy to travel throughout West Cumbria when required
* Interested in moving into an assessor or training role
* Strong communication and IT skills
* No previous assessing experience required
