Electrical Installation Trainer / Assessor (Full Training Provided)

St Ives, Cambridgeshire

£38,000 - £41,500 + Full Training in Renewables + Teacher & Assessor Qualifications + Pension + 36 Days Holiday + Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm)

In this role, you'll deliver a combination of practical workshop sessions and classroom-based learning, supporting apprentices throughout their qualifications. You'll coach, mentor, and assess learners while helping them develop the technical skills, confidence, and industry knowledge needed for successful careers.

As part of your development, you'll receive full teacher and assessor training alongside specialist training in future technologies including Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging, and Inspection & Testing, allowing you to broaden your own technical expertise while remaining at the forefront of the industry.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Electrician with strong Electrical Installation experience who is looking for a long-term career away from the demands of site work. Previous teaching or assessing experience isn't required, just solid industry experience and a genuine desire to help others succeed.

The Role

Deliver practical and classroom-based Electrical Installation training
Coach, mentor, and assess apprentices throughout their qualifications
Support learners with both practical skills and technical knowledge
Deliver Electrical Installation training alongside specialist short courses
Receive training in Solar PV, EV Charging, Battery Storage, and Inspection & Testing
Full teacher and assessor qualifications provided
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm based in St Ives

The Person

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
Strong Electrical Installation industry experience
Background as an Electrician, Approved Electrician, Electrical Supervisor, or Maintenance Electrician
Interested in developing renewable technology skills
Looking to move off the tools into a long-term training career
Strong communication skills and enjoys mentoring others
