Job Title: Electrical Installation Lecturer & Course Leader

Location: Berkshire

Salary: £30,160 - £39,034 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (37 Hours per Week, Monday-Friday)

Role Overview

A prominent Further Education college in Berkshire is seeking an industry-focused Electrical Installation Lecturer & Course Leader to join their Construction and Building Services department. This position involves leading, delivering, and developing Level 1 to Level 3 Electrical Installation and T-Level Building Services (Electrical) programmes, guiding learners through theoretical study and practical workshop training.

This role is ideal for an experienced FE Lecturer, Course Leader, or a time-served Electrician looking to step into curriculum leadership and inspire the next generation of trade professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Act as Course Leader for Electrical Installation cohorts, managing course administration, learner retention, and achievement rates.

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality practical workshop sessions and classroom theory in line with awarding body standards.

Support learners through portfolio development, progress reviews, and End-Point Assessment (EPA) / AM2 preparation.

Embed current 18th Edition wiring regulations, health and safety, and modern building services technology into the curriculum.

Collaborate with local employers and industry partners to enhance work placement opportunities and learner progression.

Requirements

Essential: Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., NVQ Level 3, C&G 2357/2365/2360) and current 18th Edition BS 7671.

Desirable: Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, DET, AET), C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing, or prior experience in course leadership or FE teaching.
