Job Title: Electrical Installations Lecturer
Location: Hertfordshire | Salary: Up to £41,000 FTE + Pension | Contract: Permanent
Job Purpose
Deliver theory and practical training across full and part-time study programmes at a modern Construction Campus in Hertfordshire. Suitable for an experienced FE educator or a qualified electrician transitioning off the tools.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging electrical installation theory and workshop sessions across student ability levels. Lead designated courses to drive retention and pass rates.
Assessment & Support: Assess coursework and practical tasks, offering constructive feedback. Provide academic guidance and use performance data for student interventions.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe classroom and workshop environment following Health & Safety legislation. Uphold safeguarding, Prevent, and equality standards.
Person Specification
Qualifications: Occupational qualification/degree in Electrical Installation + GCSE Maths/English (A*-C / 9-4).
Experience: FE teaching background OR recent industrial trade experience. (PGCE/Assessor awards desirable).
Skills: Strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management, and collaborative communication skills.
