Electrical Improver – Social Housing
Location: Southend on sea
Job Type: Self-Employed / Subcontractor
Sector: Social Housing
Rate: £22per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
We are looking for experienced Electrical Improvers to join our team carrying out smoke alarm inspections and minor electrical works across social housing properties.
The Role
You will be responsible for visiting occupied social housing properties to:

Carry out inspections and testing of existing smoke alarms.
*
Identify alarms that are expired, damaged or require replacement.
*
Replace smoke alarms where required.
*
Complete the necessary Minor Works Certificate following replacement works.
Requirements
18th Edition .
*
Experience working within social housing or occupied properties is desirable.
*
Good understanding of electrical safety and smoke alarm systems.
*
Able to complete electrical certification accurately.
*
Comfortable using a PDA/tablet to record inspection information.
*
Self-employed and available to undertake subcontract work.
*
Must have your own van and tools.
*
Good communication and customer service skills.
*
Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
