Description:
Due to an increase in business we are looking to add another Electrical Estimator to our business.
We deal with a varied client base offering M&E capabilities that are Local and UK based
The company takes on projects both large and small and offer a varied and interesting workload.
Responsibilities –
·Working alongside the other electrical and mechanical estimators as well as independently within a busy estimating projects department.
·Control and organise tender documentation
·Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare a compliant bid, including all clarifications and exclusions
·Managing enquiries for all equipment, plant, materials and relevant sub-contractors.
·Complete take-offs from drawings/information provided.
·Liaise with subcontractors/suppliers to gain competitive quotations.
·Value Engineering and/or partial design works on tenders.
·Liaise with mechanical estimators to ensure fully compliant M&E quotation.
·Input take offs into estimating software and finalise quotation.
·Good technical knowledge of mechanical installations on commercial and industrial projects.
·Analyse and verify sub-contract quotations
·Develop cost estimates by analysing labour and materials needed to complete a project.
·Identify tender risk & opportunities; Practical, Commercial and Contractual.
·Following the submission of tenders, ensuring tenders are chased, and all relevant people are kept informed of the bid prospect
Requirements
·Sound technical knowledge of commercial electrical systems is desirable
·The ability to work to tight deadlines.
·Good communication and organisation skills.
·Ability to work on own initiative with confidence and accuracy
·Willingness to take personal responsibility and work independently.
·Willingness for occasional extended working hours and some travel.
This is a full time position and does not offer at home working. You must also have proof of right to work in the UK.
