Description:
Electrical Engineer / Inspector
£34 per hour (outside IR35) + min 6mth rolling contract + average 45hr week Mon-Fri + overtime rates + July start dates
Electrical Engineer / Inspector responsibilities include:
* Site-based, carrying out detailed Electrical Safety checks & inspections and delivering inspection reports.
* Risk assessment of fixed electrical installations.
* Drawings, tracing, labelling and schedules of electrical installations.
* Emergency lighting inspection and test to BS 5266 standard.
* Electrical load analysis; Public entertainment licensing testing.
* Lightning protection systems inspection and testing.
* Electrical safety assessments for plant and machinery.
* Act as Advisor providing technical and legislative advice where necessary.
Electrical Engineer / Inspector profile;
* C&G Part 1, 2 & 3 electrical installation qualification OR HND / HNC.
* C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing certificate and 17th/18th Edition regs required.
* COMPEX certs 01-04 and EX05-06 desirable.
* Minimum 10yrs relevant Electrical industry experience, ideally 5 of which have involved testing and inspecting electrical installations / ATEX inspections
* Experience working on mega-scale construction sites including Nuclear, Waste-Energy, Renewables, Data centres etc
* Current UK driving license.
* Proven technical knowledge and understanding.
