We’re looking for a Electrical Engineer (Battery Energy Storage/ Renewable) based out of our Dumbarton facility. You will join our battery energy storage team. This team creates a portfolio of battery-based energy storage system fleets, either by creating them internally or purchasing them from sources. They consider how we might create greener, more lasting energy solutions to help Aggreko reach our net zero goals. In this role you will play a crucial part in determining how we accomplish this on a global scale.

What you’ll do:
* Support due diligence of the numerous technical elements of our battery storage products which will include technical product comparison, and uses of technology, applications
* You will assisting with SAT and FAT for the products by participating in testing at vendor locations and at various depot locations
* Understand the electrical standards for different regions
* Simulation on Power Factory and MATLAB
* Technical Modelling and Simulation for new battery units for events or project work in transactional space
* You will support on Test and Validation of product while they are arriving fresh in Aggreko or coming back from a transaction to depot
* Support on controls development for Battery Energy Storage Systems and respective testing
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
* You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Power Electronics,
* You will be interested in learning about Battery Energy Storage Systems, Li-Ion batteries, Inverters, Control Systems, communication and Interfaces, Power Electronics, etc.
