Electrical Engineer - A&D
Bristol | Hybrid Working | Salary up to £43,000
We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join a leading global engineering and technology business based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly skilled electrical engineering team, working on the design and development of innovative abatement products and electrical systems used in advanced manufacturing environments.
The Role
Reporting to a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of electrical modules and sub-assemblies for both new and existing products. Working within cross-functional teams, you will contribute throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring designs meet performance, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and maintain electrical modules and sub-assemblies for new and existing products
* Produce schematics, cable assemblies, bills of materials, and supporting technical documentation
* Support product development activities in line with engineering and change management processes
* Ensure designs meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and project timescales
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project requirements
* Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project meetings
* Provide technical electrical support across the wider business when required
* Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies
About You
* Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
* Minimum 2 years' industry experience in electrical design and development
* Experience creating schematics, cable assemblies, BOMs, and component selection
* Proficient with Electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical or similar
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
