BAM UK & Ireland are recruiting a Static Electrical Engineer to join the team based at the Plymouth Community Diagnostic Centre.

This role is working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Making Possible

* Maintain the full, safe operational functionality and presentation of all electrical and mechanical services across the site.

* Ensure checking, cleaning, servicing, maintenance, and record-keeping are consistently carried out in line with company standards, SFG20, NHS HTM’s, and all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements.

* Maximise equipment safety, reliability, availability, and presentation.

* Carry out repairs within the scope of training, competency, and authorisation.

* Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and complete all associated documentation and reports accurately.

* Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns, completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner.

* Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.

* Be part of an out of hours on call rota.

* Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.

* Carry out work in a safe, professional, and diligent manner.

* Comply with all Health & Safety policies and safe systems of work.

What do you bring to the role?

* Relevant electrical qualifications and proven industry experience.

* Good working knowledge of mechanical services/systems.

* Demonstrable experience working as an Electrical Engineer.

* Experience of working within a call-out rota environment.

* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.

* A strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills.

* A proactive approach with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* Ability to anticipate, diagnose, and repair faults effectively.

* Experience working within an NHS or healthcare environment would be highly desirable (ideally with an understanding of healthcare compliance and operational requirements).
