At Invision Recruitment, we are currently looking for a Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join one of our key clients’ main contracts in West Central London. In this role you will be working on high end commercial office buildings in the city alongside a team of engineers. As a Shift Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the facilities while working on a 4 on 4 off – 6 on 6 off rota.
Key Responsibilities for a Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias):
* You will be responsible for conducting mainly PPMs with occasional reactive calls
* AHU Standard Checks: Regular maintenance and inspection of Air Handling Units (AHUs), including monitoring performance, cleaning filters, and addressing minor repairs or issues.
* Emergency Lighting: Ensure emergency lighting systems are operational, conducting regular checks and performing maintenance or bulb replacements as needed.
* Plant Room Flushing: This involves the routine flushing of plant rooms to ensure proper operation and prevent build-up of debris or other issues.
* No Fire Alarm Testing: While the role includes a variety of maintenance tasks, fire alarm testing is not a requirement.
* Diary Autonomy: The engineer has flexibility in managing their schedule and work priorities, allowing for effective time management and task completion.
* Versatility: You will be expected to be able to carry out small mechanical tasks, i.e. fixing minor leaks, replacing washers in faucets, and unclogging drains to ensure proper water flow.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience for a Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias):
* Relevant industry qualifications – HNC /ONC or City and Guilds
* 18th Edition
* Work proactively managing time effectively.
* Carry out work to high standards
* Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently
Salary and Benefits of a Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias):
* Days 6:00am 6:00pm
* 4 on 4 off – 6 on 6 off Shift Pattern
* Holiday entitlement is 20 days PLUS Bank Holidays
* On going training
