Electrical Engineer Temp to Perm Immediate Start Cambridge area
We're recruiting an Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client, a well-established facilities maintenance provider, for an immediate start on a busy contract based at a research and innovation park just outside Cambridge. This role is offered on a temp to perm basis, working Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00.

The Role:
The site itself is a multi-occupancy research and science campus, and our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer who can hit the ground running on day one. You'll be responsible for PPM, reactive, and breakdown maintenance across the electrical systems on site, including air conditioning, UPS, generators, and LV distribution. Strong fault-finding skills using alarm and BMS data are essential for this Electrical Engineer role.
You'll help keep the site's engineering assets running reliably and cost-effectively, minimising disruption, while feeding into asset performance reporting and improvement recommendations.
What the Electrical Engineer will be doing:
Carrying out PPM across all electrical plant in line with site schedules and asset registers
Managing reactive tasks across the building, including stores and fabric-related items, flagging any improvement opportunities
Diagnosing and remedying plant faults promptly to keep systems running
Logging and closing out PPM and reactive jobs accurately on the CAFM system
Completing all reactive/breakdown paperwork and submitting it to the contract admin team without delay
Producing Method Statements and Risk Assessments ahead of works to ensure safe systems of work
Maintaining plant rooms in a locked, clean, and tidy conditionWhat you'll need:
