Electrical Engineer Cumbria £42,000 Monday to Friday, Days
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our maintenance department at our state-of-the-art facility in Siloth, Cumbria.
The Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production processes. Working closely with our Senior Electrical Engineer and the wider maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical machinery, conducting planned maintenance, and providing responsive breakdown diagnosis.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the safe and efficient running of the production process, improving plant reliability and performance.
* Supporting the electrical and maintenance engineers as a key member of the team.
* Carrying out electrical planned maintenance across a range of plant and machinery.
* Actively participating in predictive maintenance activities, including condition-based monitoring.
* Demonstrating a positive approach to continuous improvement and actively contributing to associated projects.
* Ensuring compliance with site standards, procedures, and safety protocols.
* Assisting in training operators on adjustments to components and machinery.
* Contributing to project work and providing electrical support throughout the project duration.
Your Profile
* A core electrical qualification and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Experience in interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.
* Fault-finding experience with industrial machinery.
* Additionally, the following skills and experience would be advantageous:
* Basic project management experience.
* Knowledge and hands-on experience with PLC and process control.
* Experience in the food or FMCG industry.
* Familiarity with risk assessments and method statements.
