Electrical Design Engineer - Electrification
Peterborough (site based)
12 Month Contract (possibility of being extended)
37 Hours a week Monday – Friday
Up to £28.36p/h PAYE plus holiday and pension contribution OR up to £38.50p/h Umbrella
The Electrification Development team is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of electrified machine demonstrators and prototype machines.
What the Electrical Design Engineer - Electrification will do:
• Translate system requirements and component information into detailed electrical designs for electrified machine systems and subsystems.
• Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams and harness definitions, covering connectors, terminals, pinouts, splices, cable and wire specification, 3D routing, flattening and production drawings.
• Ensure electrical designs integrate effectively at machine level, resolving routing, interface and installation constraints.
• Work closely with project, build and validation teams throughout the development process.
• Investigate build and integration issues, determine root causes and implement robust design solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype builds and engineering change activities.
• Support machine build, commissioning and validation programmes as required.
• Work across multiple projects and priorities within a dynamic development environment.
What the Electrical Design Engineer - Electrification will need:
• Electrical design experience within a product development environment, including machine or vehicle electrical systems.
• Experience creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, ideally for machine, vehicle, industrial or electrified systems.
• Proficiency in Creo, including electrical harness design, routing, drawings and supporting documentation.
