The company
A leading multi-disciplinary engineering group with an annual turnover of over £100 million, who offer specialised electrical solutions to many big-name clients across the UK. After securing several long-term contracts with key customers, the company is now seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in their head office in Kings Norton.
The role
The company is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to ensure their designs meet all electrical standards and are safe. This role has a 40 hour week, working 8:30-5:00pm Monday to Friday with the opportunity for overtime and hybrid working.
You will take responsibility for:
Creating AutoCAD drawings for electrical design layouts from existing network drawings
Aiding in the processing of Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificates (MEIC)
Conducting site surveys of existing electrical distribution systems for accurate modelling
Assisting in the design and preparation of Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC)
Analysing and interpreting electrical data to generate arc flash risk management reports
Helping with the preparation and processing of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
Experience in the electrical industrial and commercial sector
Understanding/ experience of Auto CAD operating systems
Understanding/ experience of Amtech or similar electrical data recording systems
Good understanding/ experience of L.V. electrical distribution systems
