Description:

We are currently supporting a leading provider in the field of industrial solutions, renowned for their expertise in sustainable manufacturing practices and commitment to innovation. Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of electric motors, generators and transformers and are expanding their team and seeking proactive individuals to join their dynamic environment. On offer is a fantastic opportunity for Electrical Design Engineers who are relatively new to industry and more seasoned Design Engineers, with a salary between £28,000 - £45,000. On top of this competitive salary, benefits include: 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays, early finish on Fridays, enhanced pension and more.

The successful Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for:

Creating electrical designs using CAD software for Generator Equipment and Industrial Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) equipment based on customer orders.
Developing wiring diagrams, interconnection drawings, and single line diagrams.
Writing specifications for material procurement, manufacturing, and equipment testing.
Generating Bills of Materials for parts procurement.
Configuring settings for devices such as protective devices and control modules.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project completion within defined timelines and budgets.
Producing essential documentation including wiring schedules, cable calculations, and operating philosophies to support customer orders.
Providing technical support throughout the manufacturing and testing phases.
Assisting the Sales and Applications team in preparing quotes for new inquiries.
Contributing to departmental and business KPI objectives. 

The successful Electrical Design Engineer will have:

Minimum qualifications at HND or Degree level in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Equivalent experience and training will be considered.
Experience in electrical design of Generator Equipment and Uninterruptible Power Supply equipment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Zuken E3 CAD (desirable) Software.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Knowledge of BS 7671 Electrical Installations requirements.
PLC programming skills are desirable but not essential.
