Electrical Design Engineer - Special Purpose Machinery
Location: Stockport

The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of bespoke automation and special purpose machinery.
You'll play a key role in designing electrical control systems for complex manufacturing equipment, working alongside automation and mechanical engineering teams to deliver innovative machinery for customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
Produce electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN.
Design electrical control panels and machine wiring layouts.
Develop PLC I/O architecture and control system documentation.
Specify sensors, instrumentation, drives and safety systems.
Produce electrical BOMs and technical documentation.
Support commissioning and machine build activities.
Work closely with software engineers on PLC integration.
Requirements
Electrical Design experience within machinery or automation.
Experience designing control panels and machine electrical systems.
Understanding of PLC control systems.
Knowledge of instrumentation and industrial automation.
AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN experience.
