Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
£55,000 – £62,000 + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to take ownership of challenging automation and control systems projects?
Join a well-established and highly regarded engineering team delivering bespoke factory automation, robotics, and PLC-based solutions across the UK. This is a role where your expertise is valued, your designs make an impact, and you’ll work alongside like-minded engineers in a collaborative environment.
The Role
You’ll be designing and developing electrical solutions from concept through to manufacture, including:
* Electrical schematics and general arrangements
* Control panel design for industrial automation systems
* Working with industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN (P8)
* Supporting projects across robotics, factory automation, and PLC control systems
This is a technically engaging role offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on complex, real-world engineering challenges.
About You
You are a confident, experienced Electrical Design Engineer who:
* Has proven experience in electrical design within automation, machinery, or control systems
* Is proficient with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar CAD tools
* Understands control panels, PLC systems, and industrial environments
* Enjoys working as part of a collaborative engineering team
