Description:
We currently have a brand new vacancy for an experienced electrical design engineer to join a well-established engineering company in the Dartford area. Specialising in bespoke Electrical solutions within the LV switchgear industry, A steady period of growth has opened up an opportunity to join a long established team as the company expands it's extensive portfolio of clients and projects.
The ideal candidate should be experienced in the specification, function and manufacture of low voltage switchgear adhering to BS EN standards using 2D & 3D CAD packages, some key aspects of the position are listed below.
Core responsibilities:
* Develop control panel / switchgear arrangements & products by studying customer requirements.
* Controlling projects from receipt of contract from Sales team, interpreting client’s requirements into Bill of Quantities, Schematics and layout drawings for in house factory build.
* Continuing overseeing of all product Design and Build stage through to installation and commissioning.
* Responsibility for all commercial and technical aspects of projects.
* Liaise with clients, attending client site meeting, leading client FAT and SAT.
* Ensuring correct choice of components from suppliers that meet with suitability, availability and cost targets.
* Undertake CAD Design using ePlan software.(training can be provided)
* Integrate with Production Manager for factory production scheduling.
* Electrical knowledge to produce a Control circuit as well as Power circuits.
* PLC knowledge desirable.
* Supporting existing team members in developing further processes, procedures, standards and quality targets.
* Working to company H&S, and Quality processes and procedures.
* Producing Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
* Any other duties necessary with the skills and level of position, as determined by the Engineering Director.
