Salary: Up to £50,000 + Benefits

Are you an Electrical Design Engineer who enjoys turning complex automation concepts into fully functioning machine control systems?

We're partnering with a highly respected engineering business that designs and manufactures bespoke automated machinery and robotic solutions for a diverse range of industries. With a strong project pipeline and continued investment in innovation, they're looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging, high-value projects from concept through to commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class automation solutions.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of electrical and control system design for bespoke automated machinery projects, playing a key role in delivering innovative solutions that meet demanding customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design electrical systems and control architectures for special purpose automated machinery.
Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts and bills of materials using EPLAN.
Select and specify electrical components and safety systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant machinery safety standards and regulations.
Support control panel build activities and supervise electrical system implementation.
Assist with machine commissioning, troubleshooting and fault finding.
Contribute to the development of standardised engineering solutions and best practices.
Liaise effectively with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams.What We're Looking For

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic or Control Systems Engineering.
Experience in electrical design within automation, machinery, robotics or special purpose equipment.
Strong EPLAN experience is essential.
Understanding of machine safety systems, risk assessments and machinery compliance requirements.
Proven ability to deliver engineering projects to timescale and budget.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.Desirable Experience

PLC programming knowledge (Siemens, Rockwell, Omron or B&R).
Robotic integration experience including SCARA, Delta or 6-axis robots.
Experience with machine risk assessments and safety validation tools such as SISTEMA.Why Apply?
